Information Sheet for New Clients


Accidents can be a trying time, especially if this is your first. Please reference the following procedures to help guide you through your case with The Fischer Law Firm:

1. Make a police report immediately after any accident.

2. Immediately photograph the damage to your vehicle, the scene of the accident, and/or your injuries.

3. DO NOT discuss this case with anyone other than our office or members of your immediate family.

4. DO NOT speak with any adjuster or investigator from any insurance company. Tell them to contact your attorney and provide them with our phone number.

5. DO NOT post any of your activities on social networking sites such as Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Snap, Linked In, YouTube, etc.

6. DO NOT sign or initial any documents, releases, medical authorizations from the insurance company without our instruction.

7. If you have photographs of the damage to your vehicle, the scene of the accident, and/or your injuries, please provide them to our office.

8. Keep our office informed of all your medical treatment. Please let us know your doctor’s name, phone number, address, if he/she refers you to a specialist and/or physical therapy, and when you are released from his/her care.

9. If you have any type of health insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid, pay all medical bills using your health insurance card.

10. Keep copies of all medical bills and send them to our office.

11. If you must miss a doctor’s appointment, physical therapy appointment, or any other medical appointment, contact them in advance to let them know of your scheduling conflict.

12. Avoid discussing a legal problem or the fact you have a lawyer with any treating doctor, therapist, etc.

13. Notify our office of any change in your address, phone number, and/or physical condition.
